Where Art Empowers
Jill Kraft opened The Artists Palette in 2009 in the front of her house. Over the years the business moved around a bit, shifted gears, added a photography studio, a gallery, group painting classes and finally in 2014 opened as a community art center in downtown Norwich. Now, years later, Kraft specializes in special needs and non special needs art instruction, group painting and drawing instruction and has created her own line of resin jewelry all Natural body care line called Earth and Air. Kraft oversees a community gallery space, still enjoys taking photos for clients and now shares the large space with other businesses. Inside the space there is Willow Primitive and Boutique owned by Tabitha Eccleston, The Cottage Bakery owned by Kate Tefft and a non profit that Kraft began in 2017 called Creative Works. Throughout this site you will see all aspects of the shop featured. Please note for art classes Creative Works Inc. runs some of the programming and you will find additional art services located in the drop down menu under art classes labeled Creative Works programs. The Artists Palette and Creative Works Inc. work hand in hand to provide a wide range of art related services to the public, both in the special need and non special need realms.
